LinkedIn Advertising Policies - China
We expect all advertisers to comply with the local laws in addition to LinkedIn Advertising Policies. However, this China-specific Advertising Policy is not an exhaustive list and should be used as your guidelines only. Any ads that violate any of the guidelines below may be removed from LinkedIn and in some cases further action may be taken. If you are unsure whether your ad is acceptable, you may contact us. Notwithstanding the standard LinkedIn Advertising Policies and this China-specific Advertising Policy, legal compliance is the sole responsibility of the advertiser (including its representatives and agents).
In order to company with local laws, regulations, and LinkedIn policies, the following ads content is not allowed.
Animal or Animal Products. LinkedIn does not allow ads promoting the trade of animal(s) or animal products, including but not limited to the following examples: shark fin, ivory products, coral, narwhal, helmeted hornbill, wolf, rhino, antelope, camels etc.
Credit Card Cash Out Services. LinkedIn does not allow ads for services (other than qualified financial institutions or ATMs) that allow a customer to withdraw cash from his/her credit card.
Debt Collection Services. Ads related to debt collection services are prohibited.
Detective and Surveillance Products and Services. LinkedIn does not allow ads related to detective and surveillance products and services, including but not limited to the following examples: surveillance cameras, private investigator services, etc.
Fertility and Birth Control Services. LinkedIn does not allow ads related to fertility and birth control services, including but not limited to surrogate services.
Medical Device (Home Use or Consumer Use). LinkedIn does not allow ads related to medical device for home use or consumer use.
Military Products. LinkedIn does not allow ads for military products, including but not limited to military uniforms, accessories, equipment, etc.
Prohibited Political Content. LinkedIn doesn't allow ads promoting names of state authorities or political personnel; names that are political in nature, criticism of the Communist Party, Government of PRC, or People’s Liberation Army; wording from the National Anthem, direct or indirect use of the national flag, national emblem, military flags, military anthem, or military emblem.
Private Servers, Virtual Private Network, and Proxy Server Providers. Ads related to private servers, virtual private network (“VPN”), and proxy server providers are prohibited.
Satellite TV Equipment and Services. Ads related to Satellite television equipment and services are prohibited.
Secondhand Goods. LinkedIn does not allow ads for secondhand goods.
Short Message Services. LinkedIn does not allow ads for short message services.
Spokesperson under 18-year-old. LinkedIn does not allow spokesperson for ads under the age of 18.

Legal Documentation Requirements
New campaigns (and changes to existing campaigns) targeting China market must be in one language only. The campaigns will not run live until approved through our ads review process to make sure they meet the local laws, LinkedIn’s Advertising Policies, and the China-specific Ads Policies.
For inquiries regarding ads targeting China, we strive to respond as soon as possible and usually within 2 business days. If you ever have time-sensitive campaigns that need to be expedited please contact us to ensure your campaign is reviewed as quickly as possible.
If your ad doesn't meet our guidelines, you'll receive an email about the reason for rejection. You can edit your ad to comply with our policies and resubmit. If you have further questions, please contact us.
The following information/documents must be provided to LinkedIn China advertising verification team:
• Your contact information, including: full name, email, and mobile phone number
• Website of the products or services to be advertised
• ICP filing record number for the website of the advertised products (if any)
• A scanned copy of Your business license
• Product certificate(s): including Additional Documentation below (Your business scope should be consistent with the Additional Documentation)
• If you are an agency, a scanned copy of your agency licenseIf you are a Chinese citizen, a scanned copy of your Chinese national ID and the ID number

Supported Languages. Ads targeting China can’t be mixed languages with the exceptions of trademark (for example, LinkedIn) and/or commonly used abbreviations (for example, HTML).
Superlative claims. Ads targeting China cannot contain superlative claims (such as “best”, “top-rated”, “top quality”, “highest level”, “state level”, “No. 1”) even if such claims are supported by third-party verification.
